STOTY OF EVERY DRUNKARD
HO!HO!HO! to the bottles I go
To kill my heart & drown my woe
It all started for the sake of trying something new,
Later I emptied many bottles which I called “a few”.
Thought drinking make me look cool,
Now when I look back I see I was a fool.
Even my friends gave it a start,
Before we knew we were all on the same path.
Now our group had become quite big
And I was the leader of these thirsty pig(s).
All of us stuffed in a single car,
Became regulars at every other bar.
Shame was something we all had lost,
We wanted to drink drink and drink at every cost
Festivals, family, work or even a rainy day
Never ever came in our way.
It was just another Saturday night,
When all the colors suddenly went white.
I bounced on the floor like a ball,
No one saw it as I was all alone.
Passed out in my puke there lay,
As my liver had failed right away.
I thought I was swimming in a pool,
But actually I was smeared in my own drool.
That how I had to stay,
For that night and next whole day.
I remember it being very obscene,
And no one around to clean.
I opened my eyes in a hospital bed,
Lying cold calm numb almost dead.
Doctor came and told me the whole thing.
He was nice but his worlds had to sting.
He SAID
Kidney on the left , the eye on the right,
And the punctured liver all had given up the fight.
Stomach was burnt and my brain was partly dead,
But I didn’t even had a tear left to shed.
DRINKING was this problem’s source,
But now its way too late to show any remorse
Now the rain may fall & wind may blow,
Birds might fly and water will flow.
But like a dead tree forever I will lie,
And see the clouds go sailing by.
Still its not too late for you all to start thinking,
That now is a good time as any to STOP DRINKING.
